Wedding producer Kimiyo Nomura
Kimiyo is a producer of a wide range of weddings, from the very large wedding receptions that are unique to islands to resort weddings. We asked her to tell us about the places she often goes to with her elementary school-aged daughter on her days off.

This is her favorite cafe, where she often comes for tea. "The shell ginger tea is delicious. I also love the juicy here. The aroma of the pepper and the shell ginger leaves that wrap it is wonderful. I also really like the atmosphere of the cafe." The juicy is cooked with rice, and the pepper has a cinnamon-like aroma.

Kimiyo's favorites are shell ginger tea and juicy treats wrapped in shell ginger leaves.

When you come here, the spicy miso vegetable soba is the only choice. "It's really delicious. I love Yaeyama soba, but I also love spicy food, and it's even better when you add a lot of chili peppers to it."

This shop offers smoothies and frozen fruit. Today, I ordered a mix of mango, pineapple, shikwasa, and sugarcane. "The fresh fruit is so delicious it just melts into your body!"

Just south of Yashima Elementary School, there is a breakwater with a cute mural, where many islanders come to relax and fish. "On days when the sunset is beautiful, I sit on the breakwater and watch the sunset."
