Kazunari Une runs a product business that specially freezes island fruits such as pineapples and mangoes. In addition to manufacturing and selling the products and running a stand that serves them as smoothies, he is also a livestock farmer who raises about 15 beef cattle, making him an active young farmer.

I often stop by this restaurant, which is on the way from my house to the cowshed. I love their specialty, the large chicken, because it's quick and filling even when I'm busy. I recommend the freshly fried ones in the morning.

Ikkyu Shokudo is a restaurant that he has been coming to with his family since he was a child, and it remains one of his favorites. He and his wife often come here together, and when friends come to visit from the mainland, he always brings them along. They always order the beef soba.

Kazutaka Une
Born in Ishigaki Island in 1995, he went on to study at Tokyo University of Agriculture and gained internship experience abroad, including in Indonesia, while still a student. After undergoing agricultural training in California, he returned to the island in 2019. With the goal of "maximizing the value of agriculture," he manages beef cattle grazing and runs the specialized freezing business "KOPPARI."
