Chika loves Yaima Village so much that she has an annual pass to visit. She enjoys playing with the squirrel monkeys, watching the Crested Serpent Eagles and water buffalo, and admiring the traditional houses and flowers blooming in the gardens. She also likes the atmosphere of the island's only theme park.

He says he likes the location surrounded by mountains and the road that runs straight through the middle of the dam. "When it gets dark, the moon rising from behind Mount Omoto is reflected on the lake's surface, which is really beautiful."

Kannonzaki, near the city, is home to a small lighthouse. Heading from the parking lot, you can see this view by climbing the stairs at the rear left of the lighthouse. "The gradation of the ocean seen from here is beautiful. It's close to the city, so I come here quite often," says Kannonzaki, a favorite spot. It's also a great spot to watch the sunset.

Drapeau says he comes to lunch alone. He always orders the daily special, and says that everything he eats is always delicious. "The potage made with island vegetables in the lunch set is excellent, as is the homemade non-alcoholic red sangria."

The daily special on this day was a hand-kneaded hamburger steak with a demi-glace sauce made with Yanbaru shiitake mushrooms.

Chika Iwakura
Born in Kabira, Ishigaki City. After graduating from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, he worked as an idol manager at an entertainment production company in Tokyo and in events and free paper production at a town development company. He returned to the island in 2017. In 2020, he founded the LLC empty, serving as co-representative.
