Frozen fruit shop owner and cattle farmer, Kazutaka Une
Kazunari Une runs a product business that uses special freezing techniques to freeze island fruits such as pineapples and mangoes. In addition to manufacturing and selling the products and running a stand that serves them as smoothies, he is also a livestock farmer raising about 15 beef cattle, making him an active young farmer.
This is a shop I often stop by because it's on the way from my house to the cowshed. I love their signature large chicken; it's quick and filling, even when I'm busy. I definitely recommend getting it freshly fried in the morning.

Tomino, with its cattle pastures, is a peaceful place with beautiful views that I love. The contrast between the blue of the sea and the green of the sugarcane fields is stunning, and even though it's a view I see all the time, I always think it's beautiful.

Ishigaki City Hall just moved to its new building in November 2021. "We want people to see the magnificent new city hall. It's much larger now, and we hope it will be used as a place where citizens can gather!"

Euglena Mall is lined with souvenir shops and other stores. The newly renovated Ishigaki City Public Market also has an eat-in space. "We want people to walk around and look at the various shops in the mall, and then eat delicious island food in the market."

Ikkyu Shokudo is a restaurant that my family and I have been going to since I was a child, and it remains my favorite restaurant. My husband and I often go there together, and whenever friends from the mainland come to visit, we always bring them there. We always order the beef soba.

Kazutaka Une
Born in Ishigaki Island in 1995, he attended Tokyo University of Agriculture and gained internship experience abroad, including in Indonesia, while still a student. After completing agricultural training in California, he returned to the island in 2019. With the goal of "maximizing the value of agriculture," he manages a beef cattle ranch and operates the special freezing business "KOPPARI."
