He serves as the vice president of "Yaeyama Hito University," a community that "creates spaces for young people on the island," and is involved in various initiatives to revitalize the island, such as supporting "Oyake Akahachi," a modern version of Kumiodori (Okinawan traditional dance) that he himself was involved in during his junior and senior high school years.

This cape offers great views and can be driven all the way around it. Chika, who was born and raised in Kabira, says she used to come here often with her family when she was a child. Even now, she brings a packed lunch and comes here to just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Kawadaira Ishizaki Peninsula

Chika loves Yaeyama Village so much that she has an annual pass. She enjoys playing with squirrel monkeys, watching crested serpent eagles and water buffalo, and admiring the flowers blooming in the traditional houses and gardens. She also loves the atmosphere of the island's only theme park.

Ishigaki Yaima Village

She says she loves the location surrounded by mountains and the road that stretches straight through the middle of the dam. "It's also really beautiful when it gets dark and the moon that has risen from behind Mount Omoto is reflected on the lake's surface."

Nagura Dam

Kannonzaki, a small lighthouse located near the city center. This view can be seen by climbing the stairs located behind the lighthouse on the left side from the parking lot. "The gradation of colors in the sea viewed from here is beautiful. It's close to the city, so I come here quite often," says the person, highlighting their favorite spot. It's also an excellent spot to watch the sunset.

Kannonzaki

Dorapo comes to lunch alone. He always orders the daily special, and says that everything he eats is always delicious. "The potage soup made with island vegetables and other ingredients in the lunch set, and the homemade non-alcoholic red sangria are both excellent."

The daily special plate on this day was a handmade hamburger steak with a demi-glace sauce made with shiitake mushrooms from Yanbaru.
