Photographer Akito Higashisato
Akito Aizato is the co-representative of empty, a company that handles planning and photography. He is involved in planning and directing various photography and event projects. He started playing in a band in high school and continues to work as a musician. While working as a civil servant, he launched "Reverb," a music event featuring collaborations between high school students and adults.
Akito says he has a longing for the rural landscapes of mainland Japan. "I've liked this scenery ever since I first arrived here, and I feel like coming back occasionally." If you enter the Kainan settlement and continue straight along the road through the fields heading northeast, you will arrive here.

On the way from Nosoko settlement to Iharama, the sea stretching out on the eastern side of the island has a truly beautiful gradient of various shades of blue, and passing through here always lifts my spirits.

The tranquil scenery of the northern part of the island, rich in nature, offers views of both the sea and the mountains. "The other day, while filming, I thought the view would definitely be great, so I went up a farm road, and it was incredibly beautiful." From Nosoko, take the narrow road just before the Iharama intersection up the hill.

She says she likes going to the area just below the red lighthouse because it's surrounded by the sea and has a "special, isolated feel." This area is also a place she often visits to photograph sunsets.

Hamasaki Marina is very close to her family home. She used to skateboard there often with her friends when she was in junior high school, and she also likes to come here by herself. She also enjoys just relaxing and watching the sunset here.
Originally from Hamasaki-cho, Ishigaki City. After returning to his hometown from Tokyo, he worked at the Taketomi Town Hall for eight years.
The live music event "Reverb," which he launched in 2013, has been held 12 times to date. Since 2021, he has been a co-representative of empty LLC, whose management philosophy is "That silly thing is fun."
